Hotel Louxor

Between Republique and the eastern railway stations, close to the Grand Boulevards, Marais, 10 minutes walk from the Opera House, few step by metro from the Champs-Elysees and Eiffel Tower, Sentier lies a quiet, little street. Here, in the centre of Paris, in a turn-of-the-century building, the Hotel Louxor offers a peaceful, friendly atmosphere and attractively renovated surroundings. Hotel Louxor will make you feel immediately at home, and provides modern guest rooms (with direct dial phone, automatic alarm call and TV), a reading room...and the staff will give you every attention, such as an address of a good restaurant, ideas for excursions, advices etc. Each room has a double-glazed window which ensures both sound and weather insulation. The hotel is built on a small one-way street which half-closed on one end. Car and foot traffic is minimal even during the day —no rumbling traffic noise at night to wake you up or trouble your sleep. A third of the rooms give on a private courtyard on the other side of the building. We re-carpeted the corridors with commercial grade carpet so that the noise of people coming and going at night be as muffled as possible. While not first grade, the bedding is new, and adequately comfortable. Beds are of the standard-size and twin-size type. Each room has its own bathroom, some are equipped with a shower cabin. Denise requested us to mention that because the bathrooms are narrow, XXXL-sized and disabled people might have difficulty moving their bodies in such close quarters. Our housemaid cleans them every day, and changes your towels once a day too.
